About the host:
Ashirwad Estate is my ancestral home and I have many memories growing up as a child, but spent most of my adulthood in the burgeoning city of Bangalore. Having lived in metro cities and worked in the corporate world for over a decade, me and my family decided to give-up city life and get back to our ancestral roots of farming. Me and my wife love to host guests in our free time, while we try our best to be hospitable and make your trip a memorable one.

You can take stroll around our Agroforest farm that is attached to the homestay and explore how we manage land to optimizes the benefits from the biological interactions created when trees are deliberately combined with crops (produces). We have more than 50 different types of shade trees, fruit and flowering trees that grow in abundance making the Ashirwad Estate a haven for bees, birds and other animals.
We have few trekking spots that you can choose to do according to your suitability - very tough ones with steep climbing or easy, fun and very scenic trek or walk through forest to reach the hilltop. We can suggest accordingly. The best time to go trekking is mornings before breakfast or evenings after 4pm so as to avoid the daytime heat. These treks can be completed in 2-3hrs.
Bonfire has some charm that sets the mood for a quality outdoor gathering for friends and family. Sitting around the fire under the vast silent sky within the wilderness always will leave you with lingering nights.
The nearby Hemavathi River offers plentiful fresh water fishes. There are few good spots for fishing enthusiast. If have done fishing before and have all the gears and it’s a lucky day for you, you will definitely find fishing here is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable experience. Let me know in advance if you plan to go fishing.
If you are a cyclist you will fall in love with the terrain. The roads here have moderate elevation that run along the coffee plantations offering an ideal set up for cycling, with shade trees all along the twisting green roads, forests and the hills.
